Feng Shui and Its Connection With Luck

Feng Shui Fu Dogs…are they Fu-Fu or “foo-foo” for you?

Is there really a connection between Feng Shui and luck?

Check this out:  Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art dedicated to bringing balance, health and even luck to the people who practice it.

Sure, some people dismiss Feng Shui as superstition…but studies have revealed that even superstitions can help to turbo-charge your brain so that your attitude (and therefore your luck) can change for the better.

An argument can also be made, when applied properly, the principles of Feng Shui work so that you’re more productive, more positive and less distracted.

In fact, one of the principles of Feng Shui is that clutter has a negative effect on your energy levels.  For every person whose hackles rise at this concept, I should point out–if you’re congested with clutter and confusion, coming at you from every angle, seriously…how high energy could you possibly be feeling?

And how effective could you really be at, well…anything…when you’re drowning in a metric ton of mayhem and foolishness?

An organized, clean, well-laid-out environment certainly would allow for you to find what you need, be more effective and have greater levels of concentration overall.

And even if you’d rather look at the word “luck” as an acronym for “Labor Under Correct Knowledge,” when you’re laboring more effectively, you are most certainly more successful in the end…which of course would make you eminently luckier.  Crazy messy doesn’t tend to equal sane results.  When you’re solid as to your WHY and you’ve set your S.M.A.A.R.T. goals, why should you let anything drag you down?  Feng Shui may simply be another tool to can add to your proverbial life hacks toolbox.

So…sure…whether you think it’s fluff or not, on a common sense level being neat, clean and organized helps you to be so much more successful than running around like a piping hot mess, leaving a trail of drama behind you wherever you go.  People like that don’t tend to be considered lucky…or successful, for that matter.

And if you think the Feng Shui dragon or the Fu Dogs are cute, why not add them into your (clean and tidy) mix?  What could it hurt?  Enjoy what you think is adorable, but in addition, keep in mind that by creating a life that looks good and is organized for good fortune on the outside, you’re taking a great first step towards feeling great on the inside.  And when you’re feeling great, you’re likely feeling luckier all around…so how can good fortune be far behind?

Nothing foo-foo about that, my friend!

While the book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo (available on Amazon) focuses on the Kon-Mari Method of organizing as opposed to Feng Shui, per se, it’s a great read; if you want to focus on Feng Shui, try the book Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life:  How to Use Feng Shui to Get Love, Money, Respect and Happiness by Karen Rauch Carter (also available on Amazon).
