Tips to Tweak Your Luck

Want some tips to get luckier…fast?  OK!
If you want to get lucky, you have to be open to being luckier. You do that by adopting the proper mindset, for certain. There have been previous posts in this 31 day series that’s discussed that already, to be sure. (Scroll further down on this Facebook Brand page to check those out).
But how exactly do you prime the pump so that you’re more open to luckier, more abundant thinking?
A few tips:
Tip One:  Be grateful.
Having an attitude of gratitude about everything you currently have in your life will turbocharge your mood, which in turn will have you on the lookout for more things to be grateful for.
Tip Two:  Be helpful.
When you go out of your way to help other people, of course you should be doing it for the sake of doing it, BUT it doesn’t hurt to also turn the focus on yourself long enough to admit that you’re better off than many others who desperately could use your money, your talents, your time, your compassion, etc.
Tip Three:  Be luxurious.
If you can responsibly afford a splurge, please do so.  Maybe it’s on a new outfit–study after study shows that people do judge you based on your appearance, so why not help them think better of you, whether it’s in the office or in life?  OR maybe you splurge on a massage or a mani-pedi…when you’re feeling good physically, you can feel good mentally as well.

Be sure you’re not just going through the motions of spoiling yourself, now.  Be grateful for what you already have and what you’re currently having with the splurge.  You might even want to put a little bit of your financial cheddar aside for a quick donation to your favorite charity at the same time…then, everyone wins.

If you don’t have too much in the way of spare cheddar, at least splurge on making yourself something yummy to eat and enjoy that. Be nice to yourself somehow, someway…maybe even a luxurious bubble bath.

Why not?
But then be luxurious in terms of your dreams, too.  Spoil yourself mentally by tearing your brain away from any of the negativity of your present so that you can fantasize about how awesome and positive your future could be.
Tip Four:  Be hopeful.
But while you’re visualizing all of this awesomeness, be sure to get firm on your WHY or reason for living. Then start setting S.M.A.A.R.T. goals to, step by step, start living in harmony with your WHY and get some of that awesome future to become your more perfect present.
When you train your brain for abundance, you’ll be more open to plentitude, more open to positive change and more convinced that there are opportunities out there for you, both professionally and personally, to not just feel lucky now, but get luckier still in the future.
