How Purpose Allows for Good Luck

Do you have passion and purpose?  Even if you think you do, let’s subject your belief to a litmus test.

Do you believe that the glass of life is half full or half empty?

And why is that?

Do you believe that you’re lucky?  Unlucky?

And why is that?

The why-related “chaser,” if you will, to each question is what’s critically important in terms of the answer that you give.

Why Ask Why?

If you find your WHY, or your reason for living, you can understand the other “why’s” of life, too.  You’ll have uncovered your purpose for living, which provides you with the filter through which all of life’s input or data should be run.

Everything you’re involved with should reflect your WHY, the S.M.A.A.R.T. goals you set to live in harmony with it…and anything that doesn’t make the cut should hit the cutting room floor.  When you live life in this manner, you’ll no doubt see the glass of life as half-full; you’ll be only focusing on what you need to live your highest and best life.

And ultimately, you’ll feel luckier when your life is in alignment with what you truly desire.

Proper Purpose Manifests Passion and Luck

When you find your purpose in life, you find your passion. When you’re passionate, you tend to be energized, optimistic and purpose-FUL.  When you’re purposeful, you tend to be more open and you’re ready, willing and able to seize every last opportunity within reach to help you further your WHY, which of course tends to yield far more good luck in your life…even if that luck is merely Labor Under Correct Knowledge.

Of course, there’s a difference between thinking lucky and being lucky.

Or is there?

They say if you change your thoughts, you change your reality.  Well, that’s true.  Action follows thought, just like day follows night.  These concepts are not divorced from one another.

One of the most challenging aspects of one’s thoughts in general, and beliefs more specifically, is that nagging feeling or belief that you can never really win or succeed…and even if you’ve won in the past, sometimes that inner critic of yours, that nagging negative Nelly voice, tells you that you’ll never win again.

Now, it’s pretty hard to go about the business of living day after day, with no guarantees that you’ll win or be successful at anything.  Granted.

But it’s nearly impossible to be successful at all if you have a negative attitude about life.

Win, lose or draw, when you have a positive attitude, you’re very much likely to end up living a life that’s richer and more fulfilling.  As Maya Angelou once said, “My mission in life is not merely just to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

You really do create your own life.  Creating the right kind of life that’s in harmony with your WHY serves to up your odds of success, which certainly can increase your luck.  Having the mindset that makes you ready, willing and able to seize the day and make the most of it will make you luckier still.

Luck favors the prepared.  Prepare your mind for richness and greatness.
