Network Nirvana: Increased Contacts for Increased Success

You must network so you can increase your circle of influence.  The more people you know, the more fun you can have, sure!  Nothing wrong with that!

But a wider group of contacts also means you’re more likely to succeed at nearly anything in life.  Why?

As your WHY becomes more of a focus in your life, you’ll be more motivated to work on your S.M.A.A.R.T. goals so that you can get to living a life in harmony with that WHY at a rate of ASAP.  Of course, it’s a rare day that you’ll be achieving your goals in a vacuum.  You’ll need help.  You’ll need guidance.

You’ll need a variety of people in your life, both personally and professionally, to help you achieve every one of your goals. Relationships are the key to success in anything.

So start recruiting people to join your Dream Team and otherwise network to increase your circle of influence (in terms of quantity and quality).

If you’re surrounded by human beings that collectively serve as a celebration of inappropriateness, the longer you work towards your WHY the more inclined you’ll be to replace the FRANKS you currently have with a new set of FRANKS.  You’ll need to network to do that; they’re not just going to drop out of the sky.  Choose the least objectionable FRANKS you have and do what it takes to meet the best of their FRANKS.  Rinse and repeat until you’ve added contacts that are both enjoyable and successful.

When you network to increase your contacts, be rock-solid about your WHY is in every conceivable way.  Then you’re able to accurately narrow the field down to specifically who you need to network with, what they’re doing (and/or what you need to be doing), when it’s best to approach them, where you’ll find them and how you’ll best make connections with them.

Always find new ways to increase the number of people in the funnel of your life.  You may have to travel to places you wouldn’t normally and/or do things that you have little to no experience (yet) doing.  Well, that’s part of the process and you can comfortably go beyond your comfort zone.  Albert Einstein once said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”  When you’re hanging out with the same dead-end people, you’re likely going to have the same dead-end experiences and therefore it’s unlikely you’ll have new and improved results show up in your life.

Therefore when you network, you’re evolving as a human being.

Adapt or perish.  Very Darwinian.

Also very true.

As you grow and change, those who used to surround you may either drop away or you’ll drop them.  That’s natural.  Your vibe attracts your tribe.  If you’re rebooting your life, it’s time for a different tribe, which means you have to start sending out a very different vibe.  When you network to improve the quality of your contacts, you’re doing exactly that.

From now on you should increase your circle of influence until you’re standing in the winner’s circle of life, enjoying that awesome WHY of yours.

You deserve it.
