Live Life and Have Fun, Hon!

In a rut?  Well, you have two choices:  (1) stay in it and keep bitching; or (2) get OUT of it and party hearty doing something else!  You have to live your life in a way that makes you happy, no?

Quit wasting your time.  Try something different to get different results.  As you may know the term insanity has been defined by Albert Einstein as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

No need to be insane by sticking with something lame then, right?

So how does this relate to having a loving and fun relationship with yourself?  As you’re out to woo…you…think about it; have you been guilty of doing the same-old, same-old whenever you’re alone?

Yes?  Then it’s time to mix things up!  Live a little!

If you were in a relationship with someone else and you kept doing the same tired old stuff and kept hitting rewind, after awhile that other person’s going to abandon ship.

Same thing with how you treat yourself…except, poor thing, your inner love-of-your-life can’t break up with you (without something heavy-duty like a lobotomy). Sucks to be her/you!  Well, only if you’re not willing to mix it up, get out there, live a little and have a good time.

So the next time you’re alone, commit to quit on getting takeout from that joint around the corner that knows your order by heart and forget about sitting there eating out of those white cardboard containers while sitting on your couch binge-watching on Netflix.  Puh-leeze, that is NOT fun.  That’s passing the time.

Boring!

That is no way to live.  So even if you start small by adding a little bit of fun to your life every day in the tiniest of ways, in time your soul is going to lighten up and be happier.  You’ll find that you’re increasingly open to taking chances and enjoying forays outside the playpen you’ve been confining yourself to, called your comfort zone.  So if you need to take baby steps, do that.  Sooner or later, as long as you keep moving forward, you’ll get to a better place in terms of self-love, love overall…and even simply enjoying the journey called life as you live in harmony with your WHY and achieve your S.M.A.A.R.T. goals.

Just like you should do when you’re in a relationship with someone else, commit to being spontaneous!  Be flexible with your fun!

Commit to a 3-step checklist, where every day you’re going to:

          *     live

          *     love

          *     laugh

Is it really this easy?  In one sense, yes!

It’s you who decides whether you’re going to put the accent mark on silliness or sadness.  Challenge yourself to treat yourself as the love of your life, because you are, and woo…you!  The first night out where you make a point of enjoying your own company, build a glorious date-night experience where you may be the only person in attendance, but guess what?  It’s still enjoyable!  Be outrageous, have no constraints and be committed to enjoying an exhilarating pleasure cruise of an experience.  No matter what.  Do something that’s so cool that IF you had a Mr. or Ms. Right to share it with, it’s exactly what you’d do for them…except you’re doing it for yourself.

And why shouldn’t you?  Your life isn’t hard?  You don’t have challenges to face?  You don’t deserve some fun?

Does this mean that during this period of wooing yourself you have to do everything alone?  Nope!  Of course you can go out with other friends, even other couples, and have fun.

Look at it this way:  You’re no one’s third wheel.  You’re an awesome unicycle, out for one hell of a fun ride, and if there’s other people in your posse, great.  Everyone’s going to have a great time.

Most importantly, that includes YOU.
