Mobile Mama in the City

Mobile Office = Mega-Success

Today, everyone’s mobile.  They’re commuting to work or school.  They’re driving or otherwise traveling from task to task.  Many people have laptops, mobile devices, tablets, cell phones and/or watches that will allow them to pretty much run their lives on the go…regardless of where they’re going to.

It’s time to take advantage of this mobility so that you can keep your WHY-related goals and Master Plan with you at all times, too.

If you want to be entirely electronic in terms of your mobile office, God bless you; go right ahead.  If you want to merge technology with tangible elements, that’s great too.

Whatever works, just work it!

You must create a system that can go with you everywhere, so that no matter where you are and what you’re doing, you can achieve your goals or seize a moment to live within your WHY, full-throttle.

If you stand on a line at the supermarket or somewhere else, instead of moaning about the line, you can whip out your mobile office and get to work on your WHY.  No moment need ever be wasted, and when it comes to working on your WHY, you should be having fun focusing on that WHY, visualizing it, tweaking it, setting and/or optimizing goals and plans related to it…you get the idea.

If you’re stuck at a car park waiting for kids to get out of school, don’t get lost in Pinterest for 10 to 20 minutes when you could be using that time to get you where you need to go—which is out of a life you may very well despise into a WHY-driven existence.

What does a mobile office include?

It depends on you, your WHY, your goals and your needs, but it can include much of the following:

  • a calendar system;
  • written down/typed up documentation of your WHY and your goals;
  • networking contact information of Dream Team Members and FRANKS as you constantly increase your circle of influence to achieve your goals and otherwise live your WHY;
  • brochures, catalogs (perhaps for your business, someone else’s business whom you sell for, etc.);
  • flyers;
  • business cards;
  • a way to capture new contact information;
  • pens, calculators;
  • books;
  • course information…..whatever you need to keep learning how to improve your life.

These are just some examples–again, what goes in your mobile office is whatever it is that you may need to conduct the business of making a change in your life by working towards and/or living in harmony with your WHY.  Anything at all that will help you to keep moving forward.  Anything that will help you achieve your S.M.A.A.R.T. goals.  Anything that will help you work on overcoming any “No’s” or rejections or challenges that may pop up along the way.

Don’t overthink this, though.  Your mobile office should be easy, organized and portable.  Your home office can have a lot more in it, but keep your mobile office a pared down version of what you’ve got going on at home, if you can.

Opportunities to work on your WHY—or even achieve WHY-related goals—may present themselves to you on the fly.  Be organized and prepared so that when opportunity knocks, you’re listening and can let it in!
