Hashtag Worthy Living Is Yours for the Taking

Hashtag…as in, hashtag plus you equals #YOU?

True!

While you’re not the center of the universe, you’re the center of your universe, of course.  You should treat yourself and your life as noteworthy, meaningful and important.

Capable of being elevated to hashtag-worthiness, in fact.

As mentioned earlier, you do carry yourself around 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year (okay, tack on a day for Leap Year).  You should view yourself as the heroine in the story of your life and therefore, whenever possible, work the Woman-101 HEROINE acronym into your daily routine.  But now it’s time to kick things up another notch.

It’s amazing how often we’ll hashtag things on Twitter or Vine or some other clever platform that we think are important, funny, endearing or at the very least, interesting.

You know: #love, #sorrow, #puppies, #PuppiesAndKittens, #Kardashians … Whatever.

When you hashtag something, do you really “get” what it is that you’re doing?  When you publish a word or phrase that’s preceded by a hashtag, you’re identifying a keyword or topic of interest and enabling a search for all things related to that it.  You likely do this so often you barely think about the function of hash-tagging anymore, do you?

Answer these questions and realize the implications of your answers:

(1)   How often do you treat yourself as something that is an important topic of interest?

(2)  How likely is it that you treat yourself, your life, your rights, your wants and your needs as things that are noteworthy?  Things that others should reference and be guided by, accordingly?

It’s funny how much we focus on, say, public figures who are involved in everything from pop culture to politics, from sports to spirituality, and then we get so engrossed with what they say, think, do, etc.  It can get to the point where we get all worked up about it…and then search on social media, stick hashtags on them and their circumstances…when all the while we sweep ourselves, our WHY, our goals and everything else under the carpet.  We deflect our attention onto anything and anyone else.

So how do you turn things around so that you elevate your own rights, needs and desires above the white noise that you normally transfer your attention to

Here’s the short list; additional posts go back and unpack these topics further:

(1) Focus on your WHY;

(2) pursue your passion no matter what;

(3) have a healthy sense of self-belief;

(4) be compassionate–with yourself and others;

(5) have S.M.A.A.R.T. goals;

(6) utilize a Power Hour that includes a goal-setting ritual; and

(7) have an overall plan for your life so you can achieve your purpose…one so rich that you can psyche out self-sabotage.

I dare you to live your life in conjunction with your WHY, in such a way that you treat yourself and your very existence as being deserving of a hashtag all its own.

In a good way, of course.

I mean, some of those public figures are downright #drama.
